In every painting and drawing, my objective is to try to express who I am, what I feel, and the moment which I am in today. Through this investigation or this search for light in darkness a union or joining of these two opposing forces that cannot exist without the other can create a balanced harmony, a creation of a third that becomes a metaphor or a point of comparison between the image and my life. Once the work is done, the experience of life is reflected there. Then I look at it to see if the message is clear and simple. Then I let it go, to share it with others. I always do this, but the magic almost never happens, that is why I keep creating and working.
